- Necessary general tools and DIY capability
- Calculate system size required
- Outdoor unit location
- Indoor unit location
- Pipework and cable route (can a condensate pump be avoided?)
- Permitted development or planning permission
- Meets 'noise and neighbour' requirements
- Electricity supply.
- Inform District Network Operator (DNO) if required
